Hotel Review: Le Méridien N’Fis in Marrakesh, Morocco
Going to new countries, let alone new continents, can be intimidating which is why I decided to stay at a Marriott property to provide some familiarity with my first trip to Marrakesh, Morocco.
For around $100 USD per night, the Le Méridien N’Fis provides resort amenities in a central location in Marrakesh, across the street from the Menara Mall and within walking distance to the famed Medina Souks.
Checking in to our room
After a quick yet questionable taxi ride from the Marrakesh Airport (be sure to negotiate your taxi fare before getting in to the vehicle — you’ll quickly learn that everything is negotiable in Morocco), we arrived to the gated Le Meridien property. After passing our security check, the gates were opened and our we were dropped off at the hotel entrance.
The bellhop quickly grabbed our bags and offered us a cup of sweet mint tea while we completed the check-in process. It was a nice welcome.
We made a rookie mistake while making our reservation (selecting one guest instead of two) which caused our daily room rate to increase slightly. Make sure you accurately state the number of guests while making your reservation.
Our room was a bit small compared to other Marriott properties we’ve stayed at, but it had two single beds and a walk-in shower. The beds weren’t very comfortable but had a nice view of the hotel gardens.

Hotel Amenities
The hotel gardens and pool were absolutely beautiful, and my favorite part about the property. It was a treat to walk around them in the early morning hours on our way to breakfast, which was complimentary (?), although the number of guests is a factor in your daily room rate.
It was great having breakfast at the hotel each morning, as Morocco can be an unfamiliar place if you don’t venture outside of the United States often… basically, one less thing you have to worry about every day.
A huge spread of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, and pastries was available in a buffet-style setting. Fresh juice and espresso drinks were available. Our favorite breakfast options were the made-to-order omelets and handmade bread, though.
If you’re looking for evening drinks, there is a bar in the lobby area of Le Méridien N’Fis which is one of the few places in Marrakech that serves alcohol.

Overall Impression
The Le Méridien N’Fis in Marrakesh isn’t spectacular but is a great option if you’re looking for a known hotel brand while visiting Morocco. It is affordable and in a great location. The hotel gardens are beautiful, and the daily breakfast buffet was appreciated.
We will likely stay there next time we’re in Marrakesh and recommend you do so, too.
